Leaping Lightroom!

Posted on June 8th, 2007 in Digital, Workflow by Rebel Fish

Rebel Fish discovered an even quicker way to do your Pick/Rejects in LR. If you press your capslock button, it will switch LR into hyper-mode! (Not official Adobe nomenclature, but Rebel Fish likes it.)

Now, when you hit P (for Pick), it automatically jumps to the next picture! If you hit U (for Unpick) or X (for reject), it does the same thing. One less keystroke (the arrow) or mouse click between you and being done with your selections. It also works for your star ratings or your color tagging.

Hope it helps!

If you don’t want to turn caps lock on, just press “select unflagged” and then P and X have the same effect. You just jump to the next image as long as you’re viewing only the unflagged.

That works for picks, but what about ratings, colors, etc? Also, Rebel Fish doesn’t necessarily want her pics or rejects to disappear–sometimes she just wants to move to the next image!

Great tip Rebel! Loving Lightroom and anything that makes it even faster is killer!
