Free Stuff for Lightroom!

Posted on July 9th, 2007 in Digital, Workflow by Rebel Fish

Don’t say Rebel Fish never hooked you up:

The authors of three excellent Flash-based web photo galleries, Airtight Interactive, have agreed to let Adobe integrate with Lightroom! Download Adobe Photoshop Lightgroom Web Gallery Templates for SimpleViewer, Postcard Viewer, and AutoViewer:

SimpleViewer : http://adobelightroom.com/galleries/airtight_simpleviewer.zip
PostcardViewer : http://adobelightroom.com/galleries/airtight_postcardviewer.zip
AutoViewer : http://adobelightroom.com/galleries/airtight_autoviewer.zip

Unzip the archives, and save them into the “Web Galleries” directory in your Lightroom settings folder:

Mac OS X : /Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Web Galleries
Windows XP : C:\Documents and Settings\[username]]\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Web Galleries
Windows Vista : C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Web Galleries

If you still struggle in Windows, try the following:

In web mode.
Create a user template.
Right click on user template.
Select “show in explorer”

It will open the window on your harddrive where the files need to be uploaded.

Relaunch Lightroom. These should now be visible in the Web module. Enjoy!

Can you show us an example of one or all of these in action?

Man, these look great in LR. I just dragged the unzipped folders into the web folder and Shazam! I just don’t know how to publish. Xanga, Big Folio publish!

When I right click on “User Template” in Lightroom, the only options that come up are “New Folder” and “Import.” I select “Import” and it brings up an explorer window but it’s looking for a *.lrtemplate file of which I see none, even as I get deeper into the folders. Any suggestions? I’m running LR 1.1.

You need to CREATE a new template, then right click on that.

Always loved airtight’s stuff. Now that it’s integrated with lightroom I will actually get around to using it. THanks!!

I dowloaded and installed the unzipped files in the web galleries folder (using the path outlined), but can’t “see” them in LR whatever I do (they’re grayed out). How do I access them?

    Brenda,

Sorry Rebel Fish can’t give you the support you need on this issue… She just posted the link to the installer. You might try going to www.adobelightroom.com to get a little more information.
