The masters at LaCour have teamed up with New School to create this in-depth look at on-site flash photography.

Fabulous Four
“LaCour should be teaching at college level! This video was so easy to understand, and so full of information, I’ve watched it 5 times and still get new things out of it.” — Chris Adams

The challenge of lighting in dark, cavernous ballrooms or reception halls is not new to wedding photographers. The experts of LaCour don’t settle for mediocre reception shots. They use custom light to capture stunning, international award-winning photographs. For the first time on DVD, LaCour will share with you how to master their “Fabulous Four” signature lighting tecniques:

  • Bounce Flash
  • Direct Flash
  • Remote Flash
  • Available Light
  • About LaCour:
LaCour started in 2004 as two couples in their mid-20s (Andrew Niesen & Rachel LaCour Niesen and Mark & Erin Adams) working out of their parents’ basements, meeting clients at noisy coffee shops, and charging $2,500 for unlimited wedding photography coverage.

Today, LaCour has its own studio, commands over $15,000 per wedding, and has become one of the premiere wedding-photography studios in the US. LaCour’s dramatic success is attributed to its distinctive brand, long-lasting relationships with clients, and attention to detail. LaCour’s clients know they aren’t merely buying eight hours of coverage and an album; they are buying an experience they can’t find anywhere else.

LaCour discovered that people are willing to pay more for photography when they feel connected to something bigger than themselves—by buying into an experience, they are investing in their family legacy.

To be honest, it isn’t worth spending the $60. He just tells you information that you can read about elsewhere. I thought it would “teach me” things I didn’t know about. It’s just an hour of non-stop talking.

I’m not dawging the efforts of Fab Four. He did a good job. But this information is clearly for beginners.
